The 0.8 mm wire protector shields your wire from wear caused by contact with metal parts, such as locks or similar items. Use them to finish off your design along with a nice clasp. Wire protectors have a hole of about 0.8 mm and can be used with wire up to 0.723 mm in diameter.
We also provide pictures showing how to use our wire protectors, but here is a description.
Here’s how to use the 0.8 mm Wire Protector in Sterling Silver:
- Thread on a crimp bead or sleeve: Start by threading a crimp bead or sleeve onto the wire or thread.
- Thread the wire: Then thread the wire through the hole in the wire protector and back down on the opposite side.
- Attach the crimp ring or clasp: Now attach the crimp ring or clasp according to your design.
- Finish with the crimp bead or cap: Re-thread the wire through the crimp bead or cap and secure them tightly.
